Ingredient Quantity
Whole black udad dal 1 cup
Rajma 2 – 3 tbsp
Salt to taste
Butter 2 tbsp
Cumin 1 tsp
Green chillies 1 piece
Cinnamon 2 – 3 pieces
Clove 1 – 2 piece
Onion 3 tbsp (chop fine)
Ginger garlic 2 tbsp (chop fine)
Chilli powder 1 tbsp
Turmeric 1/4 tsp
Tomato puree 1 cup
Easy creamer 1/4 cup
Coriander 2 – 3 tbsp chop


Soak udad dal and rajma overnight and pressure cook it with salt for 4 – 5 whistles or until the dal is soft. Mash it a little.

Now in a pan add butter and put jeera, cinnamon, clove. Now add onion, ginger, garlic and saute all the ingredients. Once the onions are softened, add tomato puree and season it. Once the puree gets cooked add the cooked dal and cook on law flame. Now add the cream garnish with coriander and serve hot with naan or rice.
